VS2008 – How to save a file using a different codepage

In Visual Studio 2008, you’ve multiple ways of setting or saving a file using a specific codepage.  I’ll just explain the easiest one…The way of the save options

Just follow these steps…

  1. In VS2008, open the source file for which you want the set the codepage
  2. Go to File > Advanced Save Options
  3. image 

  4. Next, in the Advanced Save Options window that is prompted, select the codepage you want to use
  5. Press Ok and save the source file again
  6. You’re done!
